At the Athens Forum held in Athens (Greece) on June 22-23, 2006, SEETEC presented the recommendations of final draft report on the Obstacles to Trade and Compatibility of Market Rules in Southeast Europe. At the Athens Mini-Forum held in Dubrovnik on March 27-28, SEETEC experts presented a couple of papers relative to two ongoing SEETEC activities in the Southeastern Europe region, The Subregional Balancing Market Pilot Project (REM-1401) and The Obstacles to Trade and Compatibility of Market Rules (REM-1202). Experts from the SEETEC Team attended the SETSO TF meeting in Zagreb (January 20, 2006) to present the proposed detailed workplan for the activity [Click here to view the presentation] and to initiate the first round of missions for the review of the existing balancing arrangements in each of the participating countries. SEETEC Experts conducted the first round of missions for the identification of key obstacles to wholesale trade and remedies, on January 14-28, 2006. The mission was also carried out in conjunction with the Southeastern Europe Sub-Regional Balancing Market Pilot Project (REM-1401), as the two activities are closely related and thus conducted in parallel – by two distinct groups. During the week of May 9th, 2005, SEETEC organized a workshop to introduce and provide training on the SDDP model in power generation simulation. The workshop was attended by department managers, senior engineers and other officials from the Ministry of Energy and Mining of Serbia. [more]
